This course is in Finland for primary and subject teachers, principals and other experts who really like to get something new and modern ideas inside or outside classroom and motive the pupils better with games and new kind of pedagogy.
Give your pupils positive experiences with modern technology and pedagogy, example escape rooms, computers, laptops, virtual reality(VR), STE(A)M, artificial intelligence(AI), mobile phones, drones, 360 cameras, gps based outdoor games and lot of other things! Make your classroom also flipping!

SESSION 2/2023 2ndth-6th July 2023 (COURSE FEE 420 €) JOENSUU, FINLAND
You are free to choose accomodation (hostels, hotels or airbnb) if you want. Near course place you can find example ISLO finhostel, rooms are with small kitchen. Also hotel Green star is popular, www.greenstar.fi. Also Scandic hotel Joensuu and hotel Lietsu are very nice. Our co-operation hotel near railways Joensuu railway station is original Sokos hotel Kimmel.
During the course week participants will learn how to activate pupils or students every kind of school subjects with games and gaming. Includes also flipped learning pedagogy
Participants can also develope their professional English skills and learn and get ideas from each others. They will also get new collegues from all over the Europe and they can start to think example new projects. Participants will also learn how to build pedagogical escape room for primary /secondary pupils.

Course fee: 420€ participant. Course fee does not include meals or accomodation. Course fee must be paid three days before course start to bank account or in the first course day.

City of Joensuu locates 450 km North-East from Helsinki. You can reach Joensuu every day by airplane (JOE), train or by bus from Helsinki. There is a train connection to Joensuu from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. (you have to change to Joensuu train in TIKKURILA railway station near airport).
It is possible to obtain a European Union Erasmus+ grant (K1, learning mobillity of individuals) to cover course fee, travelling and accomodation costs! More information is available from our website and from your national agency. So, you can pre-book your place before making application to Erasmus+ office and when you get decision let us now if you are really coming.
You can also apply for accreditation, deadline in October 2023. Then you will get grants for whole programme season to 2027. More information from your national Erasmus+ agency.
Schedule of five days:
DAY 1 15:00-20:00: Welcome to Finland/Spain. Agenda of course week. Education systems, City of of Joensuu. Ice breakers, participant presentations. Evening with lake Saimaa, trying Finnish outdoor activities. Barbeque and sauna. In Spain beach party.
DAY 2 10.00-16:00: Modern technology in education. Gaming workshops and lectures about outdoor learning /building escape room. Voluntary trip to reindeer farm in Finland/ Loro Parque in Spain.
DAY 3: 10:00-17:00 Theme about escape rooms continues. Gamification and useful softwares inside or outside classrooms. Lectures and workshops. Mobile outdoor gaming.
DAY 4: 10:00-16:00 Outdoor learning in KOLI national park. How schools can use their natural heretage as pedagogical material. Small hike with outdoor gaming and presentation of KOLI
DAY 5: 10:00-13:00 Conclusions of the course, workshop, certificates and farewell.

Participants will learn also how to build pedagogical escape room game.
